Όντως. Δεν ξέρω αν το έχετε παρατηρήσει αλλά αυτός που έκανε το review της συναυλίας είναι ο ίδιος που έκανε την κριτική για το MWS. Μην τον δώ μπροστά μου τον τυπά. Αυτό λέω μόνο

Δεν είναι ότι δεν χωνεύω την ΑΜΥ απλά δεν παίζει στην καμία να είναι 3 θέση

Εγώ συμφωνώ με τον Spy 5 post παραπάνω, ότι είναι καθαρά θέμα συντάκτη... o οποίος στην προκειμένη περίπτωση, προφανώς δεν πολυσυμπαθεί το στυλ του MWS.

Kings Of Modesty- 16/10/2009,

Final Storm Tour 2009 was a
significant name for a concert
tour of Finnish "ice queen" Tarja
Turunen, who has still been
almost the same as Nightwish for
a lot of fans. I´m afraid that
Nightwish are slightly fading,
compared to Tarja´s show with a
magnificent band behind her
back, though. Maybe not in
albums´ sales (they could be
discussed in Czech Republic as
well), but concerning the quality
of shows, my favourite
[performer] is obvious.
Nevertheless, before the nordic
beauty charges into the
Pardubice´s stage, we have an
opportunity to listen to two
unknown bands.
English trio Furnaze crushed a
portion of heavy-load thrash
metal in the style of Bay Area
with incredible power in the
surprised fans. Unfortunately, a
lot of riffs died away in uselessly
loud drums, the same can be
submitted about vocals. In one
moment the hall was even
literally deafened by incredible
retroaction and nobody seemed
to be able to ease it off for a
long time. Through it all I quite
liked the set of two tough boys
and one tough girl (perfect
Andie Cayne at bass), the energy
was not skimped there, the style
just slightly didn´t cohere with
the headliner of the evening.
Her Finnish colleagues Kings of
Modesty were musically a lot
closer. Solid main vocal lines
together with piano parts
dominated over storming-
module (I´m not quite sure
about the translation, maybe just
"drums" would be better ) and
guitars as well, but gradually the
sound engineer found himself
and the hall was slowly glowing
powers in some attempts to sing
unknown, but this night at least
for a moment catchy, parts of
choruses. What the band should
avoid is a sort of effect of
pricksong´s singing
(unfortunately I didn´t identify it
even during exploration in sound
engineer´s suit), which was
rather harmful, Jason Flinck
would have much richer and
clearer voice without it. He got
the likings of the audience when
successfully tried a couple of
Czech words, but up to the
knocker´s ride was still to come.
Tarja built a fabulous band
already last year, and drummer
maestro Mike Terrana supported
by in background standing Oliver
Holzwarth at bass, left from it
this year. Alex Scholpp took
control over guitar parts and
Max Lilja with cello was not
absent either. I missed last year
´s charmer at keyboards, Maria
Ilmoniemi, who was replaced by
Christian Kretschmar. When,
during first tunes of Enough,
very sexy clothed vixen (meant in
positive sense of word) Tarja
literally charges into the scene,
not only me is very pleasantly
surprised. The times of long
jerkins are over, a mild change
of wardrobe came together with
mild change of hair colour. It´s
only better and also suddenly
perfect, not uselessly loud sound
completes a bombastic intro,
during which also a wide light
park with a plentiful vallum of
rotary heads (which were
controlled in line with a very
elegant scenario all the evening)
is finally fully used.
Every vocal aspect Tarja disposes
of has incredible power and
depth, anyhow they´re often
supported by sampled choirs,
modern technique is simply
modern technique. The
uselessness of hiding behind a
wall of artificiality is immediately
shown during suprisingly soon
inclusion of hit Wishmaster.
Enough full hall is volleying. Next
comes The Seer and video-hit I
walk alone, during which Tarja´s
coming in first disguise with a
hood. A perfect drama, a
beautiful preexposure of the
scene, an excellent singer,
impressive emotions. Tarja
continues this way with a wild
Ciarán´s well, Lost northern star,
Sleeping sun up to Alice Cooper
´s cover Poison. Mike Terrana
becomes her singing partner
there. In contrast to last year he
got also a space for his solo. As
usual he was toying with the
yelling hall, which had a very
good view of him because of
placing of huge apron with his
unoverlooked white suit on the
right front corner of the stage.
At the other site, towards him,
Max stood on equally high dais
and they were tomfooling at
each other during the show.
White, almost wedding dress
again extremely suits Tarja,
together with fairy starlet lighting
in slow tirades it´s a beautiful
experience amplificated by Tarja
´s ability to be not only a singer,
but also very effective actress on
the stage. While introducting the
band, she doesn´t forget about
supporting bands, after the
deluge of roses which come
flying from the first rows an
expected show stopper Nemo
comes. The ending of the first
part of the show was in slower
time, with a heart-felt Sing for
me.
After unavoidable and rather
loud shout almost twenty
minutes long encore came,
mostly in acoustic spirit, when
Tarja performed also her
pianism.
A big event was also the
handover of golden award for
My Winter Storm sales by Jiří
Daron (the interesting fact is that
he arrived to the handover in a
sweatshirt of south Czech Seven,
maybe a kind of sign?). A long
thanks and definite ending with
moving Die alive, before which
unusually talkative Tarja thanked
all her bandmates, fans and
promised next years´ return with
the new album.
So who didn´t see [her] this year
(and I must say there weren´t
many shows with similar
atmosphere here), has a chance
to another go. It will definitely be
a great show again.
